The Aylesbury Estate 
The Aylesbury Estate in Walworth south London, with over 2700 flats, That was built over 15 years starting in 1963
It was home to around 7500 people at its peak, it is currently undergoing a major regeneration programme. 
Construction of the new homes started  in 2018 and the entire regeneration project is expected to finish in 2036.
The estate was referenced by Tony Blair in 1997 visiting the estate soon after being elected referring to its inhabitants as the forgotten people as part of New Labours campaign for social justice.
