Here are four festival posters I've made for the indie art-house Russian comedy film Khandra (international title - Russian Spleen) that consist of about a hundred detailed drawings interwoven together to create the portraits of main characters - three friends that rent a flat together. They were designed for A1/A2 prints - this way the viewer can really appreciate all different stories and jokes depicted on them. I tried to make them work both in large print format and when used for web. The style of them was motivated by the huge amount of different strange situations that occur during only one day in the lives of the characters. My main influence were paintings by Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

And a couple of photos with an A2 print of the poster - that way you can see how miniature lots of the scenes are. I believe I'm quite obsessed with drawing lots of really small details that I feel add a lot to the way the viewer sees the picture and to the amount of time that can be spent looking at it.
