This project, entitled "Adventures In Graphic Design" is my degree project. I wanted to create a series of comic books that teach non-designers and aspiring designers about design. For my project, I created a protoype for the first book which serves as an introduction to what graphic design entails. For research, I studied the work of autobiographical comic artists such as Chris Ware and Daniel Clowes. The style I used is simple but youthful to attract a younger audience, such as high-schoolers looking into creative fields.
Accompanying the books would be digital resources to encourage further education and discussion. This series also has potential to expanding to other types of design as well. The other book shown is my degree project process book, which shows all the work completed over the semester. You can read the comic book online here and the process book here.
