Ilustrando la Ciencia 5 Course

In September 2018 I participated in a course that I wanted to do since before I came to Spain. It was a scientific illustration course given by Illustraciencia, an organization in Barcelona that is responsible for disseminating science and making scientific illustration known. For this course, a species with which to work was previously chosen from a provided list, which was present in an exhibition at the museum where the course was held (CosmoCaixa), in my case, the Brazilian whiteknee tarantula Acanthoscurria geniculata.
Here I reinforced already practiced techniques such as graphite, watercolor and ink, and I got to know a totally new technique for me, Scratchboard, which definitely marked me, and was without a doubt the best result of my experience.
