FootStool
Design & production: Paulina Reynoso and Valeria González
The vernacular design is linked to the local culture and is a method that allows the creator achieve the greatest with the least possible, the most with the least. Is a inconsistent design created from the needs of the person.
This project was a collection of pieces inspired by a Mexican furniture objects that enters in the category of a vernacular design, directed by Joel Escalona.
We took the "burro de sastrería" as inspiration and after the closed analysis, taking into account the main characteristics that define it, we designed this footstool connecting the form and the materials to a new object with a new use.
