In August 2018 I spent almost two weeks in Serbia, attending the Interdoc Masterclass, a wonderful program for aspiring doc filmmakers. It offered me the inspiring push I needed at the time, as I was fresh off out of film school and a bit lost in the world.
I will always remember with a smile the days spent in the small town of Pozega. The vendors we passed by every day on our way to class often come to my mind. In fact, a colleague of mine (Levi Miscala from Philippines) and I felt inspired and filmed a small video of the food vendors in the main square of the town.
For the whole stay, my film camera was attached to me, wherever I went. This is a collection of different vendors and small shops that caught my eye.
The main square, who all day had been quiet, transformed in the evening, it came alive. Kids, parents and grandparents eating popcorn, ice cream, corn of the cob, fries, "palačinka". A buzzing social gathering.
