"de-touch"

This painting is a part of the project we did for URBAN NATION Fresh A.I.R. It was a starting point to create the mural, which we painted at the beginning of the year in Bulowstrasse near the URBAN NATION Museum in Berlin.
Our hands have always amused us, how many things we can express, love, hate, create and destroy with them. In current times they have become a symbol of our carelessness towards others and ourselves since we now have to care what we touch in order to protect the ones we love, something that is the exact opposite of our most natural impulse. In our project, we decided to explore the ambivalent status of the hand and how its visual deconstruction can emphasize how we perceive it.
