Preservation is simply having the good sense to hold on to the things that are well designed, that link us with our past is a meaningful way, and that has plenty of good use left in them.
Sharing one of my recent work:
The project is located in the heart of the city of Lucknow.
The plot size of the project is 7500sqft.
The client's brief was to create multiple floors over the existing two-floor residence. The design was supposed to be in such a manner that it doesn't lose its originality but should look different and modern. The new plans were made for completely different usage than before and have modern amenities which were required for an office area, using spaces for recreational activities like spa, gym and parties.
In cases like these, it becomes very important to understand the basic thought of the client and why he wants it like that.
After analysing all these situations, I came up with this design.
The special motto of this design was to revive its originality and simplicity.
