Modelling clay was frozen and then carved into the desired forms, including the insertion of a structural support within the handle and neck of each piece.

With annotations exploring the flaws and strengths of each design,
as well as preferred forms.
Knife Prototyping Done In Foam.
Each form was carved from reclaimed prototyping foam. Unfortunately it was discovered that I am in fact allergic to this foam, and after completing the forms below, was unable to use it further in any way.

With annotations exploring the flaws and strengths of each design.

Each is made from boxwood, and sanded to an appropriate finish.

Process Progression

To get a smooth finish, I spray the wood with primer and sanded it lightly. I then patch any inconsistencies with wood filler, and sanded smooth. I repeated this process three times and used a silver spray to get the final metallic finish.
