The Swedish Garden 2020
The objective with this project was to explore product alternatives
for the Swedish garden during the future 10-15 years.
Gardens in Sweden are usually available for use during a short
period of time between may-august. The garden is used for outdoor
activities like grilling, however, it may also be a space used for
retreat and relaxation.
This particular project tried to incorporate the following dimensions:
A space for relaxation
A sanctuary or getaway from the world
Using nature to create a personal narrative
The final model consisted of a set of customizable garden arches which
offered the possibility of becoming a functional green tunnel in which
the structure itself became the garden, bringing wilderness into the
household and replicating the feeling of lying under the shade of a forest.
