TN Platform Case Study

Truckers Network: A hiring and management platform.
A platform that helps connect companies with professional truck drivers.

This product includes a mobile application for Android and IOS, an Employers’ web platform and an admin’s Dashboard. Available on the App Store and Google Play, Truckers’ Network aims to help professional and newly-graduated US truck drivers to find their perfect job. I started working on this project in mid-2019, and it’s been a long journey ever since.

After many user interviews, wireframes and prototypes, and keeping in mind that the user-base I faced while working
with this product was more diverse than anything else I had worked on before. me and an amazing team of developers, managers and stakeholders managed to come up with a product that is excelling every user and market test. This project has helped me face and solve many design-related problems and challenges, which have eventually helped me become more proficient in the way I approach design.
One of the biggest issues that needed to be solved from a design point of view was function over form.
Seeing that my previous work had focused on a younger demographic, working with diverse truck drivers brought on a new perspective for me. I had to learn how to adjust my design aesthetics in a way that matches what users were looking for in this platform: usability and practicality.

The way I did that was by sitting down and re-learning everything I thought I knew about design. I went back to the basics of design and turned to minimalism to provide only the essentials of design - a clean and organized UI , timeless shapes and colors and a very basic structure which I believe helped the product be perceived as simple, elegant and what’s most important in this case: easy to use.
Some screencaps from the Truckers Network App, available on Google Play and the App Store. The main challenge while designing this application was to make it suitable for the older, visually impaired target demographic.
