I made a small challenge to myself to make the background ambient only using the sounds of the actual species.
Washing out everything in reverb always works, but I didn’t want to stop there.I try to form a subtle beat and place tension in the middle. Also I made some uprising movement as well, to fit the movement of the animation. The bird sounds as a base, really helped brighten up the scene and transformed the nighttime to a late afternoon hiding in a canopy shadow situation.
