As the Art Director and head of the Media & Publications department at a small college I was constantly aware of the need to be conservative with printing budgets. I came up with the concept of the Admissions Folder to not only help reduce the waste associated with frequently out of date viewbooks, but also to help customize the recruiting experience.
The Admissions Folder itself gave historical and important data facts about the college that did not change from year to year. The counselors could print out interest sheets for each major based on individual student needs. The folder could also hold easy-to-update sheets on tuition, dorm life and activities on campus.
Along with developing the concept and creation of this piece, I also hired a photographer and staged extensive photo shoots with students in order to produce a new, refreshed look for the college.
The folder was a custom size with additional panels and included die cuts to hold counselors contact information.
