Too often, we all wear masks in life, whether it's intentional or not. Sometimes it's for our benefit, sometimes it's for the benefit of others. Sometimes it's only a brief coverup, while others go their entire life constantly hiding their true identity from others, and even themself.
Whatever the case may be, the ability to throw on a smile even when you're heartbroken, angry, or restless is something that's ingrained in us. The question is, is this learned behavior from our surroundings and upbringing? Or is it a survival mechanism that's simply instinctual?
