Black History Month February 2021 poster – Eddie Opara
The overall objective of this project was to put on display a prominent Black designer during Black History Month. My choice – Eddie Opara. With the use of his geometry in many of his works and the consistent use of grayscale, I decided what better way to showcase him by creating a low Poly Portrait.
Some challenges I faced with this portrait was that I was working with a square image that didn't quite fit the poster where I needed it to be so I needed to extend the low poly portrait a little further down. I did this by guesstimating the overall flow of his shirt and jacket.
The software I used for creating this project was Adobe Illustrator to create the low-poly portrait and sticker design, and Adobe InDesign for the poster layout.

With this project, I not only was tasked to create a poster but I was able to also create stickers.
