Modern fairy tale
Hi, my name is Yulia Kopysova and I am an art student at BHSAD (Russia). As a part of my trimester project I've created this group of illustrations that I would like to share with you.
The goal of my project was to develop a fresh-looking style based on traditional crafts.
My inspiration was a Russian folk handcraft of a miniature painting called Palekh and embroidery textures.
The idea was to recreate these handcrafts with a more modern vibe. See the closeup look I was able to achieve by using structure paste and watercolor paints on a black paper.
