The idea of addiction was based around the ten commandments of typography being an addictive quality of graphic design. using the ten commandments in the UPC code was a metaphor for the restrictions of typography and the laws designers have to follow. The cigarette pack was a metaphor for the guilty pleasure of being a designer with the constant battle of expression against function.
