For this project I wanted to challenge myself and try to make a minimalistic but effective and interesting design. I took inspiration from the idea of how this entire year has been. I wanted to bring the "No face to face contact" into my piece in a subtle way. Through this process I used Illustrator and After Effects for the first time so it was a little difficult. I changed my design numerous times and really benefitted from the group critiques. I am happy with the final color palette that I came up with because I wanted to try to avoid using black, so I used a darker version of one color in each poster to create some good contrast. It took some re-arranging and trial and error to come up with the final position of the text, but I think centering it adds some dimension to the piece and allows it to feel less static overall. I am proud of myself that I figured out how to change colors on After Effects and that I learned a lot from this project. Playing around with color palettes and text placement taught me about composition and what is pleasing to the eye. The overall design process was both challenging and fun at the same time.
