Ontijazz 2020
For twelve years, this humble jazz festival has brought music to the summer nights of Ontinyent—a small Mediterranean village.
Every year, its founder passionate about the genre, gifts Ontinyent's neighbors a series of jazz music concerts. Traditionally, graphics show the festival lineup through a unique typography use where the event’s name "Ontijazz" takes center stage. Each year, a different typographic resource is created as part of a historical family of posters that feature this annual event.
In this edition, the poster aims to communicate jazz's attributes through a distinctive and energetic typographic design. The main intention is to show the undisciplined, free, and dynamic character of jazz music. The letters inhabit a calm and nocturnal chromatic environment that takes us to a refreshing Mediterranean night.
