Compulsive Gambler's Journey To Week One Stop Gambling

We take you through the first week that Arlene made a conscious decision to stop gambling. It was a very emotional period where Arlen's self-esteem was the lowest in his life. She is the only woman who was going to be thirty-six years old and her life was collapsing around her.

Arlene decided to share her story of how she made it through her first week as a non-gambler. Her goal was to reach out to others, who also have a compulsive gambling addiction because she remembers the pain she was experiencing.

From the first day to the seventh day, Arlen went through many emotional revelations that helped her achieve her goals. He was a good man. Even through his self-destructive period he always kept a smile on his face. For this reason, people close to him alone never felt they had a problem.

Arlene easily made it through her first day as she had already exhausted her checking and savings accounts. He also took maximum advantage of his credit card. Luckily he would have to wait three more days until he paid the day before tie fling last names

Formerly she used to borrow from friends and then gave her half pay check to pay them. She remembers the pain she had with someone whom she could not tell or talk to. He feared that his family and friends would not understand. He does not even understand how this happened to him. He decided to go online and find help.

She tried Gamblers Anonymous a year ago, but it was something she wasn't related to. He found a website called I Stopped Gambling to Can You http://www.istnectgambling.com. She liked the site's name and decided to give it a try. She purchased a one-year subscription to self-help manuals and chat rooms. His first thought was "How can an item under fifty dollars really help a person who has lost thousands of dollars of gambling in a year?"

Then he thought that maybe he should not spend any money right now. His mind was playing with him cleverly. During this time she was confused, had a large amount of guilt for losing so much money and her self-esteem was at its lowest level.

He decided to invest in himself. This was the rationale for his purchase. She reads the manual eagerly and joins the I Stop gambling chat room. A new world opened up for him.

In the chat room she met others who could relate to her and help her understand what he was doing. Every day she follows Manuel and Pop in and out of the chat room. There were times where the chat room was quiet, so he left a message on the tag board and asked when he would chat and other members would join.

After Arlene's passing every day during her first week, she noticed a change in your behavior. For the first time she was taking it once a day. She was planning her future and started thinking that she could gamble.

She publicly admitted that she was contemplating suicide because she felt there was no way out. He once told me that he would not like to live in a cave until his life was peaceful. Her self-destructive behavior and low self-esteem were affecting Arlene.

Another thing that was preventing Arlene from going back into gambling was the yearning and she finally realized that she could now move forward with a positive future.

Some people have close friends with whom they can talk. Sharing what you are feeling will ever speed up your recovery. It will take time for you to feel how you are feeling. Listening to other people walking in your shoes will help you start the healing process.
