A raku fired handmade vase with a polished driftwood handle. Fired during the 'Goblet of Fire' National Pottery Workshop at Medzhybizh Castle, Ukraine, 2020.
Made by hand on a traditional wooden pottery wheel, and covered with white lead free glaze. Then fired in a raku kiln and smoked in burning seesaw dust to produce unpredictable crazes and smoke marks. Finished with a sea driftwood piece soaked with beeswax and attached by recycled copper wire.
