Here is a series of photos and a video trying to capture the smoke by playing with different lights and colours.
The photos were taken on a Nikon D5100 and the video was shot on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K at 60 FPS.
For lighting, I used two small LED lights and combined different gels to achieve creative and original looks.
Here is an artistic edit I created for the photo below by drawing on it using Procreate.
