We worked on developing a set up for high resolution stills which were designed by the team at SUPERMOREBETTER to fit different promotional online formats for The North Face new product features campaign. We also turned the stills into animated loops, used to showcase the same imagery in movement and make them feel alive.

DRY COLD

This is a dry cold concept of frozen background that animates do freeze the wall and then it melts to reveal a clean blue background. The snow was also designed to match the look specifically to what the director was hoping to achieve. Small, elegant snow flakes that interact with the jacket and the cliff. The snow cliff was also designed to accumulate snow.

WET COLD SNOW

In this version we worked on building several different snow versions in Houdini. Procedural snow setups that could be updated to tweak the shape, intensity and movement. In addition, we built snow accumulation setups for the jackets snow to accumulate and snow accumulation setups for glass.

WATER AND RAIN

The following is a glimpse of the work done for water and rain. We worked on creating water repellant materials that would react to the splashes and rain drops that hit the glass and where built for specific artistic direction from the client.
