I got commissioned by the Adobe Creative Residency Fund in 2020 to promote Illustrator on the iPad. I was very excited at the prospect of integrating Illustrator on the iPad in my workflow as an animator Adobe Illustrator is an essential tool for me.
I wanted to illustrate a very colourful jungle scene filled with patterns and colours blending in together. I built the whole illustration inside Illustrator on the iPad using tools such as shape builder, pathfinder and pen. I then transferred the illustration to Adobe Photoshop to finalise everything with textures and patterns.
I thoroughly enjoyed doing this project as it was fun to try Illustrator on the iPad for the first time. I was quite surprised at how much you can do with it already and how it's easily integrable to my workflow. I also liked its ease of use and the fact that it didn't feel like it's missing a lot of the tools that I would usually use in the desktop version.
