FILOMENA
Just at the beginning of January 2021 when Christmas holidays just passed, a snowstorm called "Filomena"
came to visit Madrid. We were excited to see what could deliver, I was nervous.

To be honest, this city doesn't inspire me, the noise, pollution, lack of darkness, and so on pushed me even more to the outdoors, however, an event, some elder people said hadn't occurred for 50 years, triggered that excitement again.

So I headed out. It was snowing for nearly 30h non-stop, more than 50cm was accumulated in some areas. Took the backcountry skis for a spin. Got cold, got wet, battled the wind, the snow, the condensation and I found comfort in this uncomfortable situation.

The consequences of this storm have been tough, still today we see trees down, some ice remains, and parks are closed.
Mother nature sent us another warning and remind us how in a matter of hours a city of 6+ million can be shut down.

Well, enjoy the spectacle, it may not happen again in 50+ years.

Another option would be to get a fine art print from my online shop.
