SCENARIO:
Paper shredders are not used in spite of being there. The papers to be shredded are piled up. The monotonous task of shredding the stack of paper is given to the office boy.
Only when the papers are very confidential, they are shredded at that instance.
IDEA:
By making the experience playful & destressing, the paper shredder is made more engaging for the office people to be used & not dump the task on someone.
The form of the paper shredder is inspired from a dog - The dog's qualities of being loyal, faithful to the owner. Also, dogs give a sense of protection to the owner. The dogs are playful & release stress of the owner.
The red band has been made to look like dog's collar so as to give the shredder a personalised feel.
There are proximity sensors in the machine which tilt it forward inviting the [actual] user to use the product thereby making the activity of shredding papers playful.
