Bachelor degree project - Potworny Półświatek

This is my undergraduation project called Potworny Polswiatek. Created in 2010, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland, Packaging design workshop, promoter dr Maciej Konopka.
Whole project starts from design of my handcraft company logo - Kfiatek zdolne rączki / Kfiatek Gifted Hands
As a handcrafter I was making stuffed creatures using recycled clothes. This is the process illustration.
Later I had to invent a name for my toys brand. Potworny Półświatek (what I can translate as "monstrous underworld") was founded as a result of the brainstorming. While sewing I always thought the horror stories of their life as a backyard bullies and hooligans. They are stealing sausages, riding stowaways or are squealers - all stories creating specific underworld.
Because these stuffed creatures, my monsters were made from recycled clothes, they had to be packed the same way I thought. And that is why I started collecting used cardboard boxes.
This is the process of making "homes" for Monsters in the form of seamable cardboard bags.
I used thick, red thread, because in Poland there is a phraseological unit "stitched with thick thread" that means - this is a lie easy to expose - and the Monster`s stories are pure confabulation ;) It also looked great.
I designed a label template which I can customized for each Monster. There is a place for illustration of him, his name and his story.
Each sawn monster is illustrated and has customized "house" - a cardboard bag with a customized label with his name on it (a bizarre word from dictionary) and his own story as a villain.
Ready packages.
Whole set - Monster and his package.
