Completion: 2013

 

Warm and cozy atmosphere welcomes visitors to the newly completed Aitio Business Park. The brief from the client was to create a hotel-like feeling in the lobby. 

 

Soft color scheme and live/real fireplace separates the lobby and reception from the traditional office buildings. Smaller perspective was created to the high and open space by down hanged lighting.

The waiting area with comfortable lounge chairs on a fur rug in front of the fireplace is a peaceful get-away from the busy/hectic business center/life.

 

Color scheme was chosen to be easily approachable and to complement/add to the hotel lobby-theme. The warm and neutral color taupe with different hues of wood and touches of pastel colors make the interior compatible with all the different tenant companies. The outcome is timeless and not trendy. Furniture choices include such classics as the Lounge Chair by Ray and Charles Eames.

 

GI always aims to energy efficient and sustainable design solutions in the interior design. In this project it was exceptionally important because the building seeks the first BREEAM Excellent certificate. The BREEAM system has five different levels: Pass, Good, Very Good, Excellent and Outstanding.
