Vitra Exhibition Stand

Vitra is a Swiss company that has manufactured furniture designs by Charles & Ray Eames and George Nelson since 1957, dedicated to improving the quality of homes, offices and public spaces through the power of design.
Their products and concepts are developed in an intensive design process, which brings together their engineering excellence with the creative genius of leading international designers. It is their goal to create interiors, furniture and accessories that are functional and inspiring. Longevity of materials, construction and aesthetics is their leading principle, as demonstrated by their Classics – many in continuous production since the 1950s. Recently Vitra have not been only working on creating new furniture, but also representing the classic pieces by changing its color or material to gain new energy and freshness without denying their roots. (http://www.vitra.com/en-it/corporation/about-vitra)
The goal of the joint project is to create a Vitra colour and material scheme that is all its own, and which will serve to emphasise or refresh the special character of both the classic and contemporary designs in the collection. Each product is given the greatest expressive power possible and yet blends in well with other pieces, creating an arrangement that is entirely natural looking and has a harmonious overall effect without forfeiting any it the product’s intensity. To show the progress of the Vitra colour and surface library the area of classic collection and the revamped classic collection are designed in a mirrored position so it can provide an easier way to compare the difference of the classic and the revamped classic.
According to the main characteristics of Vitra, the stand design is separated by three main areas.

Area 1. Reception and stuff area.

Area 2. Vitra from 1957 - 2013. (This area displays two main categories of Vitra’s products: the classic collection and the representing new classic collection) To show the progress of the Vitra colour and surface library this area is designed in a mirrored position so it can provide an easier way to compare the difference of the classic and the revamped classic.

Area 3. Furniture exhibited with interior decoration. Space is divided according to Vitra's product line: Living, office and public.
