For a school project the assignment was given to create a machine that you like. Since I like to drink a beer after a busy week of school and work, I wanted to make this experience even bigger. That is why I decided to design and build an automatic bottle opener.
The goal of the course is to improve myself in creative and technical aspect.
A mood board was created to show what the target group is and in what kind of environment the machine can be used.
To get an idea of how the machine might look with different colors, an overview is created. Besides the standard black color, five other colors were tried.
The opener has a lot of different parts. To get an idea of what it contains an exploded view is created.
Besides the exploded view, section views are made to see were everything fits.
After a lot of 3D printing the opener was ready to be assembled. To get a feeling of how the opener fits in its environment, product pictures have taken place.
In this video is shown how the machine operates and is able to open the bottle.
