It is a personal interpretation for the monthly Character Design Challenge, my intention is for Thorin to have more features of his race, to preserve some characteristics of the story such as the colors, but to keep him young as in the film.

Byron of Death

Byron is one of the main characters of my novel book Drakalvania, he's the Phoerivor of Death, or God of Death if you like, his duty is to reap the souls of mortals all over the universe and keep existence balance in check. He's my most cherised character so far.

Koi Mermaid

The character was inspired by the mermaids of the artist Michelle Hoefner, this time I wanted to put my own strain and create a much more Darwinian mermaid but keeping certain faerie characteristics, maintaining the fantastic air in the design.
