I wanted to created something that I felt like I hadn't seen before. I loved the idea of going a bit more abstract with this project and veering away from the normal and respectable examples of work that I usually see. The idea of having the Nostromo hat laying on the floor next to an arm felt quite eery and allowed me to play around with telling a story that suggested a member of the crew was just killed. 

 

Understandably, this exact image doesn't happen in the movie but I really wanted to work with the imagery and context of the film. I liked the challenge of creating something that had the same atmosphere of the property but dealt with a completely different colour palette and view.

 

Having the colours, the hat and the arm in place helped complete the vibe of danger and suspense felt throughout the 1979 masterpiece.
