Two unique architectural cultural facilities have been built on the site of the Kronborg Culture Harbour/ Kulturhavn in Helsingør, Denmark. The Maritime Museum of Denmark/ Museet for Søfart, which was embedded underground directly in a dry dock and opened in 2013. The design, which also attracted international attention, was created by Danish architectural office Bjarke Ingels. Right next to it is The Culture Yard/ Kulturværftet, the city's cultural center, which opened in 2010. It houses the shipyard museum, library, meeting rooms, workshops, a café and restaurant, and a concert hall for 500 visitors. It was designed by Aarhus-based AART Architects.
