NI-HAO, STRANGER!

I was invited to share a personal piece that echoes with "We Look The Same", a short film directed by Zoe Fan. In the movie, a young bookstore shopkeeper is lost in translation with a stranger who thinks they ought to help out one another based on the fact that their ethnicity "looks like the same". Fan aims to convey a racial micro-aggression situation that is inspired by personal experience.
In response, I created "Ni-Hao, Strangers!", a piece based on my experience backpacking in Europe back in 2017.
