Jester Font-Face
'JESTER' is a font-face based off is the festival Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras, also called “Shrove Tuesday”, or “Fat Tuesday”, in English, refers to events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday. Brazil, Venice and New Orleans play host to some of the holiday’s public festivities.
The letters in this font-face are based off serif style font, as it looks traditional. In addition, I added a mix with some bold cursive lines as well. I also used elements like the court jester’s hat, masquerade masks, feathers, and the diamond checked pattern, to bring out the culture of Mardi Gras. I used split complimentary colors such as green, yellow and purple as the color scheme, to show the main colors of the celebration.
Postcard Design
The three postcards are based upon the three different countries, Brazil, Venice and New Orleans as they hosts the festival with each postcard describes the activities that the country does on Mardi Gras and the postcards are design to give the postcards different feel of the celebration of the countries. Green, Purple and orange colors on the postcards are use to resemble the main colors of the celebration
