Both stories depict depression, loneliness and reflected the growth of the main characters.
Although the two books tell different stories, they all give a sense of depression, loneliness and reflected the growth of the protagonist. So I decided to use an abstract approach that implicitly expresses a relevant element from both books, depicting the dark sides of the inner self. There are a lot of metaphors and interpretations of metaphors in the book. Such as, in Kafka on the Shore, crow is used to represent Kafka’s alternative self, cat is used as an allusion to the characters. Whereas in Norwegian Wood, the name was referring to the song by The Beatles, comparing life to the boundless deep wood, imagine herself wandering in the wood, she is dark and cold and nobody can save her.
