Good Lord Bird - Main Titles pitch. Elastic. (2019)

The cotton-wood tree is ubiquitous in the story’s landscape and became the inspiration for my opener concept. Its leaves turn a glorious burned orange in fall. Set against this the parched and dusty plains - a harsh and unforgiving environment where nothing is pristine. I wanted to carry all of this into the titles with a highly textural, imperfect, lived-in feel.

Below are frames to suggest how characters might be incorporated into the fabric of the title sequence.
