Rotoscope Animation Task
Hello Ladies and Gentleman!!! I am back with a new motion graphic work but this collaborate with another artist. Our task are to make a rotoscope animation of a music video of our choice. The music we decided to choose for our rotoscope would be LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett, GoonRock - Party Rock Anthem. In few years ago, everyone know this song and it was the bomb for a few years.We divided our work by dividing the total of 16 second part of the video into half of each. And so we would like to relive this moment by rotoscoping part of the video. and this is our work.
And that is the rotoscope animation we made for this task. We picked the two main dancer in the video and individual trace and animate them on each frame. We used Adobe Photoshop to create the rotoscope animation.
To make this rotoscope a possibility, we would need the music clip we require first by importing which is under the top setting Layer/Video Layers/ New Video Layer from File and pick the music we want to make and of course change the frame from 24 fps to 12 fps . This is so that it will make the creation of individual keyframe much more easier for the animators but still look smooth.
After I am done with that, a video timeline will appear under the photoshop showing the length of the video. However we should not make any manipulation on the video layer since it can delete part of the video too. So we make a new blank video player just above the video layer so we can make easy adjustment to the video without affecting the video itself. We use brush tool to create the layout of the character and we will trace the character layout frame by frame to match its movement with the video.
Once the team are done with their part, the other member will transfer their work to the compiler and try to fully synchronize it and render the video to its appropriate settings. And we are done with the work.
