Tray for JAJU 2020
It is a set of trays in the form of a circle and a square. It consists of a circular tray, a square tray, and a two-tiered tray, and stores small items. Shapes derived from basic shapes function as partitions. In addition, each tray can be used as a plate with a high heel instead of a storage box by turning it over. At this time, figures that used to act as partitions serve as heels. The plate has a corrugated pattern, so the shape of the shadow that is deformed when the object is placed is an interesting factor.
Process
Using corrugated cardboard, various studies were conducted on the size and proportionality. In addition to finding a graphically stable ratio, I went to find the right size by directly storing various small items functionally. Since it is a simple product made of basic figures, I designed it with more consideration for the details such as the depth and thickness of the tray.
