Expo 2008 — Design for a better world

A world leader
At the EXPO in Zaragoza, Spain, with the overarching theme of “water and sustainable development,” Denmark, a world leader in sustainable technology, took the initiative to spread awareness. The Danish Pavilion effectively showcased sustainable technologies, emphasizing their potential to drive significant global change in the design for a better world.

The power of Nordic nature
LOOP Associates developed the concept for the Danish pavilion – “Circles in Water” – and designed a visual identity, website, and all exhibition graphics for the pavilion.
The pavilion’s exterior showcased Denmark’s ground-breaking successes in sustainability – at home and across the globe. Inside the interactive, five-cylinder structure, guests felt the power of Nordic nature first-hand, through memorable experiences with ice, wind, water, light, and sound.

An outstanding design
Our Design for a Better World captivated 900,000 visitors, showcasing sustainable technology. Recognized for outstanding design, the Danish pavilion earned a silver medal at the Expo and won in the ‘interior architecture’ category at C.O.A.A. (El Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Aragón), Zaragoza. Additionally, the exhibition’s graphic design received a Creative Circle silver award for Corporate Identity.
