This is a series of four paintings of tranquil sceneries depicting people interacting with nature and is meant to display a peaceful lifestyle that now hardly exists in modern society. It is to show the connection our ancestors had with nature. These compositions were all based on photographs I took when I was in China, in Anhui province. It is the southern region of China, thus the abundance of rivers and lakes.
