The Story in Brief

One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.

It is the year 2093; Mankind has successfully transitioned to the Type I civilization. It has achieved countless milestones , but none as significant and prominent as the creation of the Einstein – Rosen bridge , aka the Wormhole. Towards the end of the last century , We discovered a method of harnessing and collecting negative energy , the crucial element imperative for the formation of a wormhole,  that had eluded scientists for decades.
The governments of Earth unanimously agreed on setting up the generator station on the Moon, as a precaution , should the bridge collapse on itself. The first time the wormhole was used , we had our first contact with life outside our Solar system, Thus the bridge came to be known as 第一次接触 1(Di yi chi jiechu) , which means first contact 1 in Mandarin , the universal language of the Earth.
A few years passed by, and the Space Bridge had became fully operational, with research and exploration excursions occurring occasionally.
But there was another, quite unexpected scenario that needed their attention. There were enormous flares occurring on the Sun’s surface , the very core of the Sun seemed to be collapsing. The scientists of the world were bewildered by this phenomenon. Due to its vast stores of Helium , the Sun was predicted to burn for another couple billion years
This sudden erratic behavior was quite perplexing. It was evident that the Sun was dying and soon would consume the entire Solar system with it.
This triggered the race for the relocation of the living population on Earth.
Soon massive ships and exploration vehicles began to travel through 第一次接触 1 leaving our home of a billion years to its inevitable fate.
Year 2120; A class C , R.E cruiser had just entered the Bridge when : the Sun went supernova. There was a sudden expansion and then a massive explosion of energy, neutrinos and electromagnetic radiation, driving a shock wave into the surrounding interstellar medium. The ship managed to escape this catastrophe, was flung through the bridge and exited into an alien yet familiar surrounding.

PART 2
The explosion had altered the properties of the bridge. There was an acceleration of one of its mouths, forcing it to act as a bridge across time rather than space. It was
quite an unpleasant reentrance into the solar system and resulted in the malfunctioning of the outer cocoon and the negative energy storage container. The cocoon broke off from the ship and plummeted towards the Antarctic Ocean, and crashed just off the coast of the Bahamas. Fortunately the crew was able to steer the ship onto the landmass of what is today Europe.
The crew tried to contact the station with the negative energy reserve but to no avail. It was an extremely alien environment , but the their location status indicated they were on Earth. They tried to reach the base on Earth but there was no answer from them either. The atmospheric readings were off the charts, everything around seemed so pure and untouched. It was one of the few planets they had visited that did not require them
to wear protective gear.

(THE EVENTS THAT OCCUR ON PRIMITIVE EARTH ARE ACCOUNTED IN DETAIL IN THE FULL STORY . THIS IS JUST A BRIEF SUMMARY)

It has been 40 years since the ship first entered this primitive earth. The crew knows that their time on earth is limited and any moment could be their last.
They needed to get rid of any evidence that human descendants had travelled to that particular era. Burying or drowning the ship would probably leave traces that would be discovered by later generations. The only option ,that was agreed upon, that would leave absolutely no trace was to put the ship on a collision course with the sun.
So they entered the coordinates to the suns center and set off on their last voyage. As the ship glided across space , the crew began to reaccount their first day in this primitive system, and the terrible accident that caused them be here.
Suddenly one of them had an epiphany. He realized that this very act of trying to destroy evidence of the future, is what actually caused the sun to go supernova in the first place.
They tried to steer the ship away in a last attempt to avert this disaster, or somehow send a message to earth to warn the future humans , but the ship was completely under the gravitational pull of the sun and there was no going back.
Thus , in a sense we were our own gods. We were responsible for our evolution , and ,our doom.

What is the Future? It is a blank sheet of paper, and we draw lines on it, but sometimes our hand is held, and the lines we draw aren't the lines we wanted.”

This generator station is the primary docking area. It harbors the first mouth of the wormhole that is generated everytime something has to travel across space.
The R.E Cruiser is and explration vehicle with a self sustaining inner construction. It is this cruiser and its crew members that get caught in the accident and are thrown back to primitive earth.
One of the many laboratory bays in the Cruiser .
The Guard droids were specially designed for the protection of the crew and fragile cargo. Since the crew members are primarily researchers, scientists and engineers they are not well trained in combat and self defense. The droids have several modes and can fold into compact storable sizes.
