For this project I incorporated desert life as well as plant life, the lemon, with outer space.

I began with an image of a man in the desert and used a layer mask to cut out the sky so that I could add my own background. 

For the new background, I used a lemon to represent a setting sun. To blend more with the sand, I adjusted the color of the lemon and gave it a more orange tone. Then, I placed a background of space.

Then I adjusted the color of space so that the orange of the sand would contrast with the blue. Lastly, I used the app colourtone where I added a preset and dust effect to give it a photo-like feel.
