In early 2012 NetComm undertook a renaming and rebranding exercise. The purpose of this was to reposition the company, giving it some distance from it's roots as a consumer broadband company and showing the company in a new light as a company focused on the industrial wireless M2M space.
 
The logo went through a lot of iterations with the original brief to keep as much of the original logo as possible, after this was explored the decision was made to throw the net wider to see what could be created, approximately 4 different logos were show to the board with the one seen below chosen to represent the company in it's next phase.
