This was one of the first assignments I received at Academy of Art. It's called the Grid Project. Essentially, we took a high resolution image and transformed it into an 8-bit image. The instructor asked us to place a grid over the image and fill it in using individual squares and color it in using the eye dropper tool on Illustrator. To do this project I worked on a 16 subdivision grid. Had I used an 8 subdivision, the detail and color gradients would not have been as apparent. Hope you enjoy this!
