As president and COO of Talkspace, Mark Hirschhorn helps move the innovative online mental and behavioral health platform’s mission forward as it works with more than 1 million users. Clients have called Talkspace one of the easiest-to-use and most effective means of accessing one-on-one therapy with licensed practitioners available. Mark Hirschhorn is also a committed donor to organizations such as the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF).

The NPCF’s fundraising efforts are designed to enable new and ongoing research into treatments for a variety of childhood cancers, based on the understanding that the physiologies and therapeutic requirements of pediatric patients differ widely from those of adults.

The organization’s many local chapters host a range of special events throughout the year that keeps the issue of pediatric cancer at the forefront while raising money for the cause. The Palm Beach Gardens, Florida chapter of the NPCF has scheduled a special gala for October 2021, when it will host Fashion Funds the Cure.

Planned to take place at The Gardens Mall, the event will give NPCF supporters a chance to celebrate as they enjoy a runway fashion show, a silent auction, a cocktail reception, and the chance to contribute to helping children fight the difficult battle against the disease.

At the February 2020 incarnation of this annual fundraiser, young patients were featured as part of the runway show, modeling fashions from local stores and boutiques. They then participated in a grand finale, dressed in clothes corresponding with their future dream careers, accompanied by adults actually working in those professions.
