This photography series was created as a practical part of my bachelor thesis on the subject of Architectural photography: A Comparison of the artistic and commercial approach to architectural images. The focus was on investigating and putting into practice the approach to the capturing process depending on the two different styles of photographing architectural structures - the artistic and the commercial. The examination resulted in 27 images. Some of them follow the conventions of classical architectural photography, others represent an artistic, rather abstract perspective of the architecture. The emphasis is on geometry, symmetry or asymmetry and the interplay of light and shadow in order to create effective picture compositions.
