The aim of my project was to capture the visual essence of a graphic novel using inspiration from motion comics and film noir. The monotone color palettes incorporated in my art work classify the story in a 'neo noir' genre, essentially derived from elements of film noir and combining it with modern content and style.
Set in a post apocalyptic era, shadows represent a visual form of a being's good conscience and are their constant guardians. Every shadow is in danger of it's greatest weakness- Darkness. In a world where daylight is minimal, there lies a sole evil force identified as the Shadow Collector, whose motive is to wipe out every trace of goodness left in the world.
