Introduction
Named after a traditional African music style, is founded in San Sebastian in 2017 by two travel-loving friends from Spain and Angola.
Semba is inspired by the colours and patterns of the wax fabrics, the traditional West African colourful cotton textiles. Semba selects all 100% cotton fabrics with wax print, certified "real wax", directly from local African artisans in Angola. Each product is unique, endowed with a multicultural soul and identity: inspired by Africa and handmade in Spain.
Logotype
The "Summeron" font was used to create the logotype, which was later modified to make it more relevant to the needs of "Semba". A border has been added to the chosen letters to reinforce the font and make it more structured.
Palette
The color palette is inspired by warm colors reminiscent of African Wax printed fabrics and also the Mumuhuila and Mucawana tribes in southern Angola.
