Photo Assignment : Candid / Features

Assignment Directions: (5 photos) You have been hired to find candid / feature photos (slice of life photos) around Fort Wayne, IN (or surrounding cities) for publication to show what kind of place the area is.  Shoot, edit, upload 5 feature / candid photos. Remember, feature/candid photos are photos that are not posed, and the subject should not be looking into the camera for the majority of photos. Photos can be shot/found street photography style, and/or photos can be shot candidly at an event, or a combination of both. You could also go the candid photography route at home, especially if you are unable to drive out to find photos. If you chose to do this at home, do not pose your subjects! Get them candidly in action, preferably doing some sort of activity. Think raking a yard, coloring, sewing, playing cards, enjoying a cookout in the backyard, washing the dog, ect, remember these are not portraits! Just keep in mind the slice of life idea, and do not pose the subjects. With street photography style, do not take a friend downtown and shoot candid portraits of them, try your best to make these found photos. A human subject must be present in at least 4/5 photos, with an animal subject being an acceptable 5th photo. You can shoot feature photos wide, but you should still be able to see a person in the photo!
